The Project is a major fit out of an existing core and shell building in the heart of Dublin. The size is roughly 350,000+ SF, and including workplace for over 3,100 employees. The office floors span 12 levels. (I live on the residence’s 20th floor). We are currently located in two locations in Dublin, and will be bringing everyone together! The building was built about two years ago, and, when we are finished, will have two reception areas, retail units (for restaurants and other conveniences) as well as two dedicated baristas, Our Customer Experience Center, a cafeteria, a fitness suite, a wellness suite (including dental, vision, massage therapy and mental health counseling), IT concierge support, Workday Store (for company swag) and a production level auditorium that seats ~400. The unique part of the auditorium is the tiered seating retracts back into the wall allowing for flexibility for events.

The project challenge we are experiencing currently is the building is leaking – and relatively badly. We have 92 leaks of various sizes currently documented! I have been hyper-focused on mitigating water leaks with the team in a country where it rains almost every day and is within 100 yards of the river! It is an Interesting problem – and we ARE getting this solved! I sometimes have to laugh – this was definitely not covered in design school at Iowa State! It is good to remember I am a life long learner.
Fun Fact: We will be moving into the new space in December and January – My work visa is only for 12 months, so we will be cutting this somewhat close!
